3.4. Article 6: Harmonized System Committee (see also the section: Harmonized System Committee (HSC))

Article 6 provides for the establishment of the Harmonized System Committee and its associated sub-committees or working parties, under the auspices of the World Customs Organization (WCO). Under this article the Harmonized System Committee (HSC) administers the general running of the HS, while the Review Sub-Committee conducts a systematic review of the structure of the Nomenclature on a regular basis, to ensure that the document keeps up to date in respect of technological development and responds to changes in trading patterns.
