Authorised Economic Operator benefits to business have been described as follows:
- benefits associated with AEO status, that include enhanced security and a safer work environment, improved Business-Client and Customs-Business relationships and increased efficiency; and;
- benefits given by Customs as incentives that include various special border procedures, lower inspection rates and reduced border clearance time.
